This week's episode, "Other People's Children" with returning guest star Adam DeVine, had an audience of 9.74 million people, up by 520,000 people from the previous episode. Modern Family finished third in total viewers, behind CBS's Criminal Minds and Fox's American Idol.
Modern Family rose to first place in the key 18-49 demographic with a 3.4/10 rating, flat on last week. Modern Family had a lead of an entire point over Idol and Minds, which scored 2.4/7 and 2.3/7 respectively. Modern Family was the night's highest-rated show in the demo.
