Wednesday's episode of Modern Family ranked joint first in the key adults 18-49 demographic and third overall in the ratings for its time slot.
This week's episode "The Wow Factor" had an audience of 9.09 million people, dropping from 10.53 million for the last original episode four weeks earlier. Modern Family ranked behind Fox's American Idol and CBS's Survivor in households and total viewers. In the 18-49 demo, Modern Family rose to a first-place tie with American Idol with a 3.2/9 rating, down seven notches from 3.9/10 on February 27.

Meanwhile, Phil decides to teach the kids basic fix-it skills around the house; Gloria spends some quality one-on-one time with Manny, leaving Jay alone with baby Joe; and Mitch helps Lily deal with a schoolyard bully.
