Last Wednesday's episode of Modern Famiuly finished a dominant first in the ratings for its time slot and was the night's highest-rated and most-watched broadcast.
"New Year's Eve" was watched by 12.04 million people, up by over a million on the previous episode's 10.94m audience. In the crucial adults 18-49 demographic, Modern Family scored a strong 4.7/12 rating, up five notches from 4.2/11 on December 12, 2012. Modern Family swept its time slot to finish first in all key ratings metrics.

However, when the hotel turns out to be less than stellar, everyone starts to branch off to do their own thing, leaving Jay dejected -- that is until he runs into the one and only Billy Dee Williams! Meanwhile back at home, Haley and Alex watch over the kids, which proves to be quite a challenge.
