Last night's episode of Modern Family ranked third in total viewers but finished second in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
The penultimate episode of the season was watched by 10.08 million viewers and scored a 6.1/9 rating in households, finishing behind American Idol on Fox and Criminal Minds on CBS. The show rose to second place in the 18-49 demo with a 4.0/10 rating, ranking ahead of the older-skewing CBS drama.
