Last night's episode of Modern Family easily finished first in the key 18-49 demographic and ranked second in viewers in the ratings for its time slot.
"A Fair to Remember", the first original episode for two weeks, was watched by 10.75 million people. The show was up by 430,000 in viewers since its October 23 episode. Modern Family finished second in viewers, behind CBS's Criminal Minds.
In the important 18-49 demo, Modern Family rose to first place with a strong 3.8/11 rating. Compared to the last original episode, the show was down slightly in the demo from 3.9/11. Modern Family was the top performer in this demo in its time slot and the night as a whole.

The family attends the annual school fair and Phil has a big 20th wedding anniversary surprise planned for Claire at the fairgrounds, but unfortunately, she simultaneously has a surprise for him back at home. Gloria signs Jay up to be a fair cop for the day and it gets worse when he’s partnered up with his nemesis. Elsewhere, Mitch, Cam and Lily try to enjoy the fair but Cam is in a funk from the football team’s recent losing streak, and Haley has an awkward first encounter with Andy.
