Yesterday's episode of Modern Family, which saw the Dunphy clan go to Disneyland, finished a strong second in the ratings, posting its best numbers for two months.
"Disneyland" was watched by 10.58 million people, adding 520,000 viewers over last week. In the important adults 18-49 demo, Modern Family scored its most-competitive finish against American Idol, nearly tying the show in the demo. Modern Family scored a 4.4/12 rating in the 18-49 demo, just one tenth of a point behind Idol's 4.5/13. In the younger adults 18-34 demo, the show beat Idol by a wide margin to finish first with a 3.6/11 rating. Modern Family finished second in total viewers, households and adults 18-49. The show also ranked as the No. 1 scripted program.
Modern Family is the highest rated scripted series among adults 18-49 for the second season in a row.
