Last night's episode of Modern Family fell to season lows in the ratings, finishing second in the key adults 18-49 demo and third overall.

"Send Out the Clowns" was watched by 10.60 million people, down by a little over a million viewers from the last original episode. The show finished third in total viewers and households, ranking behind Fox's American Idol and CBS' Criminal Minds. In the important adults 18-49 demographic, Modern Family finished second to Idol with a 4.5/12 rating, down by three tenths of a rating point from February 29.
