Ariel Winter

Ariel Winter is American actress best known for her role as Alex Dunphy on Modern Family. She remembers always wanting to act and, after noticing her daughter's passion for acting, Ariel's mother found her an agent. She soon got her first job in a Cool Whip commercial and has been working ever since.

Winter's other TV credits include guest appearances on Crossing Jordan, Criminal Minds, Nip/Tuck and Bones. Her best known TV role outside of Modern Family, is her six episode guest stint on the final episodes of ER.

On the big screen, her work includes the Dreamworks comedy A Thousand Words, the thriller Duress, and roles in films such as One Missed Call, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Speed Racer, Nic & Trisan Go Mega Dega and Opposite Day.

Ariel has also given her voice to animated films and TV series, including the Disney show Phineas and Ferb, and the features Horton Hears and Who and Bambi II. While she's not working, Ariel is an avid singer and is currently working on her first solo album.
