Modern Family racked up ten nominations for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The Emmy nominations were announced earlier today in Hollywood.

Modern Family was nominated for the Outstanding Comedy Series award for the fifth year running. So far the show has won the award every year it's been nominated, taking the award home four times. The other contenders for the award this year are Louie, Orange Is The New Black, Silicon Valley, The Big Bang Theory and Veep.

Two Modern Family stars are nominated in Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ty Burrell are nominated alongside Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Andre Braugher, Girls star Adam Driver, Portlandia star Fred Armisen and Veep's Tony Hale. This marks Ty Burrell and Jesse Tyler Ferguson's fifth consecutive year of nominations

Julie Bowen is nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category for the fifth time. She has won the award twice, in 2011 and 2012. The other nominees this year are Mom's Allison Janney, Orange Is The New Black's Kate Mulgrew, Saturday Night Live's Kate McKinnon, The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik and Veep's Anna Chlumsky.

Nathan Lane was nominated in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category for a third time for his role as Pepper Saltzman. Nathan Lane has been nominated for this award a total of five times for guest appearances on Modern Family, Mad About You and Fraiser.

Modern Family's crew received another five nominations. The show was nominated for the following awards: Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) And Animation, Outstanding Art Direction For a Contemporay Program (Half-Hour Or Less), Outstanding Casting For A Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing For a Comedy Series and Outstanding Single-camera Picture Editing For A Comedy Series.

The 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on NBC on Monday, August 25 at 8pm ET.
